Our Cellar Door

Farming has always drawn me in for its beautiful simplicity: every decision has a consequence. It’s a constant cycle of cause and effect, of learning, adapting, and trying again with each season. I’m drawn to the balance between head and hand—whether I’m working in the vineyard, in the winery, or on the broader farm. There’s honesty in that work, and immense satisfaction in watching something grow.

Why Visit

As part of our broader mission to rewild and restore, we’ve partnered with Landcare Tasmania to plant over 1,300 native stems, including prickly box, white gum, black wattle, and she-oaks, with the goal of rewilding 10% of our property within five years.

We also work closely with Land for Wildlife, who help us better understand and support the species already calling our land home, while guiding us in creating habitats that can attract and sustain new, ecologically suited wildlife.

Nice View

On the valley floor, well-drained sandy loams foster purity and vibrancy. These sunlit soils encourage early ripening and pristine fruit character, ideal for producing aromatic whites with bright acidity and clean, expressive profiles.

Blessed with a dual aspect plot, our north-facing slopes receive more sunlight, producing riper fruit with bold flavours and richness—ideal for more-expressive styles, while our south-facing slopes are cooler and more sheltered, preserving acidity and nuance—perfect for elegant, aromatic wines.

It is this different sun exposure that allows our Vigneron to tailor vine management and picking times for each block. This precision leads to more balanced, site-specific wines with natural complexity.
