Honest Wines from Our Family to Yours.

Farming has always drawn me in for its beautiful simplicity: every decision has a consequence. It’s a constant cycle of cause and effect, of learning, adapting, and trying again with each season.

I’m drawn to the balance between head and hand – whether I’m working in the vineyard, in the winery, or on the broader farm. There’s honesty in that work, and immense satisfaction in watching something grow. — Jake Sheedy, Vigneron

Our Philosophy

Drawn to the Coal River Valley for its cool climate and nutrient-rich soils, our vigneron found a region that aligns perfectly with the bright, expressive, and finely structured fruit he values.

Our vineyard spans 25 hectares within a 95-hectare farm – intentionally leaving space for nature to thrive. From the beginning, we’ve taken a holistic approach to farming, guided by the belief that great wine comes from healthy, balanced land.

Jake works with focus and restraint, allowing each vintage to speak for itself. Minimal intervention, thoughtful farming, and precise timing are the tools he uses to guide the fruit gently from vine to bottle.

Each wine is a quiet expression of place, shaped – not overshadowed – by the hand that made it.

Our Commitment

Our vineyard is proudly certified sustainable, but our commitment goes well beyond the vineyard rows. We run a flock of 220 sheep, who naturally mow the grass, reduce tractor passes, and return organic matter to the soil. This enriches our vineyard ecosystem and feeds the vines from the ground up.

As part of our broader mission to restore native species, we have committed to rewilding 10% of our property within the next five years. The first steps of this journey have been taken in partnership withLandcare Tasmania, by planting 1,300 native stems – prickly box, white gum, black wattle, and she-oaks – laying the foundations for a landscape that sustains the environment for the future.

We also work closely withLand for Wildlife, who help us better understand and support the species already calling our land home, while guiding us in creating habitats that can attract and sustain new, ecologically suited wildlife.
